How Challenge Attempts Are Evaluated
Feedback is never given while a challenge is still active.
This prevents spoilers, ensures fairness, and protects the integrity of the Challenge Arena.
All feedback is delivered after the challenge is moved to the
Completed Challenges section and locked.
This section evaluates whether the challenger reached the correct answer.
It includes:
• Verification of the final result
• Identification of any errors
• Clarification of missing or unclear steps
• A concise explanation of the official solution
This provides accurate closure and meaningful learning for every participant.
Each attempt is scored in four academic categories, rated 0–5 stars:
⭐ Numerical Accuracy — correctness of calculations and results
⭐ Model Interpretation — understanding of the structure, physics, or mathematics
⭐ Scientific / Logical Reasoning — clarity, validity, and depth of the argument
⭐ Communication & Structure — clarity, organisation, and readability
These scores highlight strengths and reveal specific areas for improvement.
Every attempt receives a final decimal-based score representing the intellectual tier of the solution:
• 1.0 – 3.9 → Tier 1–3 reasoning
• 4.0 – 6.9 → Tier 4–6 reasoning
• 7.0 – 9.9 → Tier 7–9 reasoning
• 10.0+ → Exceptional Tier 10 performance
This score serves as the primary form of recognition for standard challenges.
Note: Honour Rolls are reserved exclusively for:
• Tier 10+ Challenges
• The Founder’s Signature Challenge
All other tiers receive recognition through their feedback score.
If the challenger reached the correct answer but did not achieve a high tier rating,
this section provides personalised guidance, including:
• steps skipped or assumptions unstated
• alternative reasoning approaches
• deeper conceptual insights
• improvements in clarity or structure
This helps challengers refine their abilities and rise through the tiers over time.
The Lumin Archive Feedback System ensures that:
• Every challenger receives meaningful, structured, high-level evaluation
• Effort is rewarded with clear academic progression
• Honour Rolls remain selective and prestigious
• Progress is tracked through personalised tier scores
• The Archive maintains a rigorous and professional scientific standard
In The Lumin Archive, feedback is more than a response —
it is part of your journey toward mastery.
