## Welcome to Speculative Science & Thought Experiments

This section exists to explore **speculative ideas, thought experiments, and unproven possibilities** — the kinds of questions that begin with:

- “What if…?”
- “Could it be possible that…?”
- “If this were true, what would follow?”

These discussions are an important part of curiosity and learning — but they are **not the same as established science**.

---

## What This Section Is For

✔ Thought experiments
✔ Speculative hypotheses
✔ Unproven ideas
✔ Conceptual exploration
✔ Discussing historical stories or unusual cases (clearly labelled as such)
✔ Examining *why* an idea might fail under known physics

This is a place to **test ideas**, not protect them.

---

## What This Section Is NOT

✘ Claims of fact without evidence
✘ Assertions of belief
✘ Misinformation presented as truth
✘ Rejection of evidence without reasoning

Posts here should never be framed as *“this is true”* — only as *“what if this were true?”*

---

## How Discussion Works Here

- Ideas may be **challenged**
- Evidence may be presented **against** an idea
- Critique should focus on the **idea**, not the person
- Changing one’s mind is considered a **success**, not a failure

Ridicule is discouraged.
Reasoning is encouraged.

---

## A Note on Scientific Integrity

The Lumin Archive maintains a clear distinction between:
- **Established science**
- **Open scientific questions**
- **Speculative exploration**

This section is intentionally separated to preserve clarity and honesty.

Curiosity is welcome here — certainty is not required.

---

If you are unsure whether your idea belongs here or in a core science section, post it here first.

Welcome — and explore responsibly.
